MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. Its hard to imagine committing to a program that costs thousands of dollars for just a semester but I assure you it's possible. After choosing your program the next most important thing is the COST. Below I've highlighted information on how you can fund your study abroad.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Scholarships are your best friend. Quite simply there are millions in scholarship money that go unclaimed every year. So don't be afraid to apply! I myself paid for my program completely through scholarships. Beware, it's an exhausting and time consuming process but it's worth it. Your Study Abroad/Financial Aid office should be able to provide you with a list of different scholarships that you can apply for for your program. And then get started working on your essays, and of course you should be applying for your FAFSA to see if you qualify for any grants this is all extra money that will go towards your study abroad.

Veterans
Hello fellow veterans! Now, like all of you my schooling is paid for so I was not about to commit to $20k in loans to fund this semester long program. And of course without my bah I wasn't going to be able to even afford to go. So both of those were number one priority for me when starting this process. Which means that you should contact your financial aid and veteran benefits coordinator on campus to find out the policy for your specific university. As well as making sure that you have all of your paperwork in order to be able to apply and especially getting your certification submitted to the VA so that way there will be no delays in your payments.
